For you who don't know what 'love handles' are, it's the portion around your waist that tends to bulge over your belt.
Belly fat, tires, etc. are other names for this unpleasantness, love handles being the most endearing term. If you enjoy a
lot of junk food and beer, it's very likely that you have your own set of love handles.

How do you really know if you have love handles? Just give yourself a pinch at your waist. If you find yourself pinching
into a flabby roll of fat, then it's safe to say that you do have an inch or two of sag around your midsection.

Doing a couple of ab exercises is unfortunately not enough to get rid of love handles. The area around your waist is the
last area your body will target when shedding weight. Since it is the toughest are to target for losing fat, it's going to
take some time to lose the flab, but it's not impossible.

The exercises below involve targeting you waist area, which is called the oblique muscle group.

Twist crunches are very effective to target the obliques and abs. They are a lot like sit-ups, but with a twist thrown in.
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent slightly about half way in.
2. Lift your head slowly, placing both hands behind your head.
3. Twist to the left, bringing your left elbow to your right knee while at the same time extending your left leg out.
4. Repeat step 3, but reserve this whole process to the other side, twisting to the right side.
5. This is one repetition. Do twenty repetitions daily.

You might want to take a breather now. Drink a little bit of water and recover from shocking your muscles. Now move on to
the other exercise.

Standing Trunk Twists is another excellent exercise that targets your waist area.
1. Stand with your knees slightly bent, feet about a foot apart.
2. Twist your torso to the left, with your arms extended and following the action. Don't move your feet.
3. Repeat this step, twisting to your right side.
4. Repeat 100 times.

The Twist Crunches and the Standing Trunk Twists are excellent when you want to strengthen and tone your love handle area.
Combining these to exercises with your daily exercise regimen you will soon lose your love handles.

You also need to have a regular aerobic workout with your exercise program. By getting your heart rate up you will boost
your metabolism, and your body will burn much more fat. Have as a goal to do 30 minutes of cardio daily together with the
love handle exercises. This will help you in your fight against the fat rolls around your waist.

It's also important to include a proper, balanced diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains into
your program. With the right exercises and proper diet, your results for losing your love handles will be more impacted.
This combination will give you much quicker results overall.

In the Mediterranean people get most of the protein from plant sources, the meat is consumed as well. Fish and seafood are the most common, but lean red meat is eaten in small portions as well. The benefit is that plant proteins are lower in cholesterol and fat. This improves the overall health of the Mediterranean people and individuals following this diet.

The Mediterranean diet focuses on the enjoyment of food. Exercise is not stressed, but my viewpoint is that exercise enhances any diet plan. Following the Mediterranean diet will result in weight loss but adding an exercise will only improve your results. All different types of massage can be beneficial in helping with many different types of aches and ailments. Sports massage, deep tissue massage and therapeutic massage can reduce back and neck pain, relieve stress and speed up the recovery process after surgeries and injuries, but without medical coverage the burden of cost can be too much for some patients to be able to afford.

Will I be Covered?

This is a common question because of the fact that massages can be so beneficial, but also so expensive. Unfortunately, the short answer seems to be that most registered massage sessions will not be covered by OHIP.

There are potentially some cases where massage may be covered, but there are some very specific requirements that must be met in order for the patient to be eligible for coverage: factors like the age of the patient, the nature of the injury being treated and whether or not the clinic administering the massage is registered as a designated physiotherapy clinic.

What's the Difference between Physiotherapy and Massage?

A hundred years age there wasn't a great deal of difference between a physiotherapist and a licensed sports massage therapist - both provided an almost identical rehabilitant service, but today's licensed physiotherapist actually use very little, if any massage, techniques in their treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and ailments.

In the past, sessions with a licensed sports massage therapist would very likely have been covered in full, but with recent changes to coverage under OHIP, coverage only pertains to a limited number of sessions with a designated physiotherapy clinic under the guidelines of eligibility.

Who's Covered?

With the new rules of coverage in place, in most cases, any patient over the age of sixty five or under the age of nineteen that needs physiotherapy sessions will have coverage up to a predetermined number of sessions. All residents of long term care facilities or nursing homes, regardless of age, who require physiotherapy will have coverage up to a pre determined amount of sessions in a calendar year; and anyone needing physiotherapy sessions in their home after having been hospitalized, regardless of age, will be covered up to a pre determined number of sessions.

Under these new rules, anyone not currently living in a long term care facility or anyone not having been recently hospitalized, between the ages of nineteen and sixty four, will not be covered for any massage or physiotherapy sessions, even if the physiotherapy clinic is on the designated list on the OHIP website.

Therapeutic, sports, hot stone and shiatsu massage can all bring with them a host of benefits to the recipient, unfortunately very few if any of these sessions are eligible for coverage by the government under the news policies of the OHIP. Of course, residents are still more than welcome to participate in sessions by any licensed massage therapist, but in doing so they should be prepared to pay for the services out of their own pocket, without the hope of reimbursement from the government.

If you need to schedule a massage session for rehabilitation and are hoping that yours is one of the cases that will be eligible for coverage, make sure that your case meets the requirements above and also make sure that the clinic you are planning on visiting is on the designated list available on the OHIP website.

You may be like me - many people are: you wake up one morning and discover that you're beginning to lose your hair. I was 35 years old when it first hit me. My four year old son was the first to notice the balding spot on the top of my head, and the ensuing year was a nightmare of confusion, anger and anxiety. I felt helpless to stop it! I was certain that it was something that I was going to have to learn to live with for the rest of my life.

I'm telling you, I was wrong then. If you believe you can't stop or reverse your own hair loss - then you're wrong too. After my initial shock wore off I got angry, and started to research my options. There is so much information available to hair loss sufferers - ads, testimonials, clinical studies and suggestions - that once I began to dig I quickly came to the realization that hair loss is an ancient and pervasive problem. Also, lots of smart people have been beating their brains out trying to solve the hair loss problem and have met with varying levels of success.

All that was left for me to do was to sort through all of the information that I could find on hair loss plans and products that claim to treat it, separate out the good ones from the false claims and put together a plan to test the remaining ones. One over-arching idea jumped out at me during my search for a solution to my own hair loss: I needed to clean up my life!. A great head of hair grows on a healthy body. Diet, eating habits, sleeping habits, exercise habits - they all needed to change. There are best-practices in all of these areas that can help lead you not only to healthy hair growth - but a healthier and longer life. Here are a few of the most important points that were driven home to me:

* Interestingly, fatty animal proteins are linked to hair loss. Did you know that there are very few reported cases of hair loss in pre-WWII Japanese men? But once the Japanese diet was Westernized - and contained more animal protein - instances of hair loss began to climb. I'm not a vegetarian today, but I limit the amount of red meat that I eat; it's a good healthy practice for a number of reasons, and hair loss is just one.

* In the areas of stress reduction and increased rest, indications were clear that physiological and psychological stress cause hair loss - plain and simple. The solution? Play hard, and get plenty of sleep. Exercise is a great stress reducer, and it also improves circulation, which can be a factor in enhancing hair regrowth. Sleep is essential to stress reduction as well - physiological more than psychological. Personally, I've opted for jogging as a means of reducing stress and invoking fatigue so that sleep is a natural respite. It works for me.

* On the subject of hair care, the course of action is also very simple - be kind to your hair. No pulling or biting. No hot air driers. And find a shampoo that is gentle. The lathering components in some shampoos may make plenty of rich lather, but they can also be very harsh and hard on your hair. Find a shampoo that is gentle and recommended for thinning hair; it will contain less irritants that may dry hair and scalp, which will lead to a healthier head of hair.

* Finally - by far the most common cause of hair loss in both men and women is associated with a hormonal derivative of testosterone known as DHT which, while in the bloodstream, tends to thicken scalp skin cells and starve hair follicles, inhibiting new hair growth. DHT production in body can be inhibited using minoxidil which is approved by the FDA for just that - reducing DHT production and stimulating hair growth. It's available in a number of over-the-counter products, and it works - at least for me.

The hardest parts of attacking my own hair loss had to do with lifestyle changes. One of the easiest parts was choosing a product that contained minoxidil, testing it on myself, gauging results and sticking with the best one. For me, it's Provillus. Provillus embodies my own philosophy when addressing hair loss - it contains at least five active ingredients that have shown evidence of stopping hair loss or promoting hair growth and so attacks hair loss from many different angles - all in one product. I tried a number of different products for hair loss before I found Provillus, but I've been using it now for several years and my hair loss is not a problem any more.

Whatever you do, don't give up! If your hair is beginning to thin then you owe it to yourself to find a hair loss treatment that works for you. When you do, the positive impact that it has on your life will change your whole perspective. Finding a routine and a product takes a little work, but it's well worth the effort.

That is, the more food you eat in a day, the higher your daily caloric intake is, and vice versa. Your body spends the energy you get from eating in two ways: when you aren't doing anything and when you are doing something.

Resting metabolic rate
The resting metabolic rate is the energy your body spends when you're awake but inactive in normal conditions. It is the minimum amount of energy that your body has to use to survive. This list of functions include includes
tissue regeneration, regulation of the body's temperature, breathing, blood circulation and filtering, and hormonal and nervous activity. These functions
are carried out by your liver, brain, heart, kidneys and muscles; these organs

Physical activity
Obviously you spend energy whenever you move. From your bed to the shower in the morning, from home to work or school, and any other activity. The amount of energy you spend that way in a day will depend on what you do: some people don't need to do much physical activity like the office worker who
travels by car and some do a lot more physically demanding labor i.e. a manual worker, or someone
who walks or bikes a lot.

Sport and physical exercise also increase the amount of energy spent that way by a good margin. For example, a 121 pounds individual would spend roughly 75 calories per hour when sitting, 200 when shopping and about 450 when walking at a fast pace. Ultimately, physical activity can account for between 20 (complete sedentary lifestyle) and 50 % (athlete) of your daily caloric expense. The bottom line is: the more physically active you are, the more physical activity counts toward and increases your daily caloric expense.

Interestingly, exercise affects your OUT in two ways: first, it raises your daily expenditure the days you train. Second, in the long run and as you slowly build muscle, it increases your resting metabolic rate. The fact is that a pound of muscle is a lot more "active", from a metabolic standpoint, than a pound of fat.

Muscle contracts when you move, is put under stress when you train and constantly rebuilds itself to sustain its daily effort. As we have seen, energy expenditure can also be calculated in calories. Your daily caloric expense (DCE) is the sum of the energy required by your metabolism at rest in a day, plus the energy used to do physical activity in that same day.

From birds to bears to humans, all seek to increase their lot at the expense of the salmon caught up in their heroic battle.

This may seem strange to you, but I found myself suddenly seeing a profound similarity between these courageous fish and the modern day dieter.

The dieter too seeks just to go home-the home of their perfect weight. They also do so to give birth-the rebirth of dignity and respect. The dieter seeks the simple ability to walk the streets free of the stares and glares of condescending people. To be able to look in the mirror and see not failure reflected back, but rather one of Nature's most amazing miracles. The dieter longs to be able to sit in a moment of quietude, where the mind is not nagging and whispering "failure" . . . "loser".

Home will be out of reach for more that 90% of these struggling souls. The waters between the dieter and home are inhabited by a host of monsters. From "bad luck of the draw" hereditary factors to psychological creatures that dwell in the mind's shadows, to food additives designed to stimulate the appetite-from low energy metabolisms, ravaged by the passing of time to crippled metabolisms, war veterans of previous attempts to regain the illusive "perfect weight."

And as millions of dieters fight their way home, they too are preyed upon by all manner of hunters and vultures. Marketers, TV hucksters, profit hungry drug companies, practitioners from a dozen professions-all shouting "Home is this way!"

This is not an easy program but the rewards are great and a buddy with some weight loss motivation at the right time can help a lot. Some of the best weight loss motivation I know of is when friends and family notice a difference and ask if you have been working out.

The American Cancer Society as well as other organizations made a statement during the summer of 2007 giving a list of early symptoms of ovarian cancer. Many of the early symptoms listed include fatigue, changes in eating patterns, abdominal or pelvic pain, sudden bloating and gas are just to name a few.

Ovarian cancer cannot be easily detected since no reliable medical screening currently exist for early detection of symptoms of ovarian cancer. Women at risk of having an ovarian cancer should monitor themselves for the early symptoms of ovarian cancer so that it could be diagnosed immediately. Although early symptoms of ovarian cancer, which can include menstrual irregularities or pelvic pain, do not definitely point to cancer, women should learn to recognize these symptoms early.

If you experience sudden or unusual symptoms, visit your doctor immediately. Follow-up with trans-vaginal ultrasound, bi-manual pelvic exam and a Ca125 blood test may be required to rule out early symptoms of ovarian cancer. At high risk to develop ovarian cancer are women who have been found to have BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation, did not use birth control pills, have never been pregnant, and who were found to be afflicted with breast cancer before they reach the age of 50.

Unfortunately some women are at even more risk then others for the development of ovarian cancer. One group of women with a higher then usual rate have ancestry including Ashkenazi Jews. Most of them are over the age of 50 with more then 2 relatives who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and are overly exposed with fertility drugs are at higher risk then most woman. The only thing these woman can do is keep vigilant and keep track of any early symptoms they have.

Regular gynecological check-ups is a vital part of any woman health. If symptoms persist for more then just a few weeks, medical attention should be gotten. One thing to remember is that the early symptoms of ovarian cancer are the same symptoms for other health conditions as well including irritable bowl syndrome, ovarian cysts or many other conditions that can only be properly diagnosed with a medical examination.

It is very important for women to know the early symptoms of ovarian cancer, in order to stop this deadly disease in its tracks. Since more than 6% of cancer deaths in women are a result of ovarian cancer, women and their doctors must remain vigilant at all times.

Jasmine green tea is made by starting with a Chinese green tea for a base. Some will use pouchong/oolong or black tea but green is more common. The tea leaves are plucked and processed in April and May and then kept dry until the jasmine flowers bloom in August and September.

The jasmine flowers are gathered when they are fully open. This means harvesting them at midnight or early in the morning. The flowers are then placed with the tea so that the scent of the flower can be absorbed. After four hours, the flowers are removed. During a month, this process is repeated before the tea is ready for sale. Low grade tea has been scented two or three times during this month. High grade tea has been scented seven times.

Most green teas with jasmine contain a significant amount of polyphenols, plant-based substances that have proven to have anticancer, antiviral, and antioxidant properties. This helps prevent certain cancers and slows aging by eliminating free radicals. Jasmine is good for diabetes prevention and reducing high blood pressure. It is believed to prevent strokes, heart attacks, thrombosis, and arterial sclerosis.

A partial list of jasmine tea health benefits would include the ability to reduce blood sugar, reduce the risk of blood clot, keep fluid balance, prevent allergy and flu, and boost the immune system. It provides oral care and fluoride that helps protect the teeth from decay. Recent studies show that jasmine tea can be used to lose weight. The presence of jasmine in the tea caused the ones drinking it to lose more weight than those simply drinking oolong tea. Some believe the presence of catechins in the jasmine cause the body to burn calories faster and decrease body fat.

To prepare a cup of tea, simply steep about one half teaspoon of tea in water from 170F to 190F for two minutes. You can repeat the steeping up to two times. You should consume at least four cups a day. This tea is served with strongly flavored foods or served alone. It is good with curries, chicken and fish, and vegetarian dishes. A good quality jasmine green tea will work beautifully with fruit and flower salads, or desserts made with flowers, or soft cheeses with pressed flowers.

Products for dark circles are designed to minimize the capillaries in the under eye area, which will help them move back from the skins surface so the darkness is less visible. If these ideas are not effective for you, a visit to your doctor can let you know if your need a prescription medication and to rule out kidney or thyroid problems.

How do I use Eye Creams or Gels

Many women don't use eye creams because they say it gets in their eyes. That usually means it's closer to the eye than it should be. To prevent that, use clean hands and a cotton swab to remove a small amount of product and place it on your (ring) fourth finger. Warm your cream by rubbing your two ring fingers together to equally spread your product onto each finger, this will promote deeper penetration and easier spreading.

Around the outer bone of your eye area, place small dots of product. For three of four seconds, lightly tap the outer eye area vertically, focusing on the area of possible crows feet. Then slide your finger back and forth through the cream/gel a few times and and if you have dry lids or brow areas, sweep around the entire ocular bone a couple of times in each direction.

That's it; your cream will ease itself up or down, moisturizing the eye area inside your ocular bone. An eye cream or gel is used after toner and before facial treatment or moisturizer. Even though you may not be concerned about lines, wrinkles or puffy eyes, you'll need to replace the moisture that is removed from your eye area and only use it after facial cleansing. If you're over 16 and use eye makeup you should be using an eye cream or gel, twice daily. Start early, you'll thank me later.

You have to stop believing in the myths that the big advertisers force down your throat. A great golf game is not only about having a perfect golf swing or using the most technologically advanced golf equipment.

It is true that the beginner can learn a lot from some of the golf swing guides or fix a persistent golf swing fault with a certain golf training aid. In fact, I have reviewed and recommended several good guide books and training aids that can improve areas of your swing on my blog. Did you know that there is one missing piece of the golf puzzle that you should know about? It is the mental game of golf.

First, to dispel the myths that a great golf game can be bought, let's take a look at some facts:

Back in the 70's, only 25% of golfers had broken 90, and only a small number could shoot in the 70's. Now, 30 years later we have things like the 460cc driver, cavity-back irons, golf clubs with bigger sweet spots, and multi-layered golf balls - as a result, 28% of golfers can now break 90!

Drug testing in modern day sporting events is quite common practice nowadays. We are normally lead to believe that a very small percentage of competitors use performance enhancing drugs, but the truth is that is very common place amongst modern day competitors. There really isn't anything wrong in wanting to have a competitive edge over your main rivals, and that would normally amount to some form of anabolic steroids backed up by a plan to beat the test.

Many competitions in powerlifting and bodybuilding are now drug tested at events. The idea is, of course, that everybody competes on a 'level field', aside from personal talent for sport. However, what frequently happens is that the guy who is on 'juice' and has found a way to get round the drug test comes out the winner. It isn't fair by any means, but that's life.

There are many sporting authorities that only know how it give negative press towards the use of performance enhancing drugs, but the matter of the fact is that it is the individual who has to make that decision. Everyone knows what will happen if you get caught taking them, but once again we are back to gaining the competitive edge. We often hear of athletes who haven't turned up for a drug tests, which can help an athlete avoid being sanctioned, but we are going to take a closer look at how the test can be beaten.

Types of Testing Procedure: During athletics meetings the more common body fluid that is tested for the presence of drugs is normally urine. We will be concentrating on dealing with the different procedures that are carried out to test this body fluid, although such procedures carried out to assess blood for the presence of illegal substances are practically the same.

There are a number of different laboratory testing processes used to test for performance enhancers, and it is important to know how these work, so that you can find a way to beat them!! By virtue of that statement, it goes without saying that you should find out what type of testing procedure your sample will be analysed by well in advance of the test so you can plan ahead...

Gas Chromatography(GC): This is a method that uses a separation technique to divide up a urine sample back into its component chemical parts. These substances are carried through chromatographic columns by a gas. chromatography is just a way of separating mixtures of compounds from each other, and leads to identification in the majority of cases. The chemical compounds in the urine can be identified by their 'retention time' on the chromatographic column - the retention time is unique for every individual drug, and therefore allows identification.

Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry(GC/MS): This technique uses a combination of gas chromatography, followed by mass spectrometry on the chemicals separated out of the urine on the chromatographic column. The mass spectrometry allows exact identification of the drugs present in the urine by actually giving an exact 'molecular fingerprint' of the chemicals present. That is to say the chemical structure of the drugs present (the atoms present in the drug, and in the order they are bonded together) is given by this method. This is a very expensive test to use, and it could be stated that only sporting organisations with plenty of cash to hand would use it. The test's cost is about one hundred pounds or so per sample (about $200 US).

It is quite fair to say that these two test are reasonably accurate, although there is always room for human error. One example would be due to poor cleaning after the previous test and if that sample should have contained illegal drugs...This would obviously cause contamination and could lead to an incorrect positive test. So in the case that you are found to be positive, make sure you do protest, especially if you were clean or should have been.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC): This technique is extremely interesting as it tends to be used on test samples that are suspected of having anabolic steroids present. It's quite similar to GC, apart from that a liquid is used as a carrier for the sample through a chromatographic column, and not a gas. HPLC is both sensitive and a lot easier to carry out than GC. This test is often carried out on results that have already come from less sensitive ones.

The Bujinkan is a relatively new organization, which was established by Hatsumi Soke (Founder) in the last 30 years. The translation of Bujinkan is 'Hall of the Divine Warrior'. Hatsumi Soke gave it this name in honour of his teacher, Takamatsu Toshitsugu. Takamatsu Toshitsugu was the first person to gain the title of Soke in all nine Ryu, of which the Bujinkan is composed. The histories of these nine Ryu date from the eighth century. The teachings of these schools are handed down from teacher to disciple throughout a lineage of two hundred and one Soke and also thoursands of warriors under their teaching.

In brief, Bujutsu refers to the classical martial arts/systems (pre-1600's), while Ninjutsu is a section within Bujutsu. To think of Ninjutsu as being something outside of Bujutsu is incorrect, as is thinking of the Bujinkan Dojo as teaching only Ninjutsu.

Hatsumi Soke received his teaching of the nine schools, from Takamatsu Toshitsugu. Takamatsu Soke in turn received his teaching from three seperate means: Mizuta Yoshitaro, Toda Shinryuken and Ishitani Matsutaro. It is essential that you have at least a brief understanding of all schools to understand the Bujinkan.

What seperates the Bujinkan from other forms of martial training, such as Karate, Judo, Kendo, Aikido, etc., is the fact that the techniques studied today are the same as those formed on the Japanese battlefields in 1603. During the 250 years of peace that followed, as their skills were no longer needed, the warrior class began to undertake more humanitarian pursuits. The skills developed during that time of peace held perfection of character more important that actual combative effectiveness.

The Bujinkan is unique in that combat effectiveness is still held at the highest level, and techniques are not being diluted to accommodate safety. This means that there is no tournament competition, as techniques are studied for real-life situations only. Particpants generally practice with a partner, taking turns performing the role of uke (receiver of a technique). The instructor will typically demonstrate a basic technique with an uke at the beginning of class, and the students will pair up and attempt the technique just shown. As the class progresses, numerous henka (variations) of the basic technique will be shown.

Bujinkan training is made for real life situations. With the Bujinkan the student learns to instantly produce a technique from nothing. As we all know a real life situation very rarely plays out like a kata practised in the class.

Training with a happy heart is stressed as important in the Bujinkan. Before his death, Takamatsu told Hatsumi Sensei just how important it is:

The way to experience happiness is to let go of all worries and regrets and know that being happy is the most satisfying of life's feelings. Reflect back on all the progress in your life and allow the positive, creative, and joyous thoughts to outshine and overwhelm any sorrow or grief. Happiness is waiting there in front of you. Only you can decide whether or not you choose to experience it.

Besides the chest muscles, the arms might be one of the most popular parts of the body trained at today's gyms. Most guys will work them to death because they want the sleeves of their shirts to fit a little tighter. Gives them a sense of confidence and the females obviously like a guy with huge guns popping out of his shirt.

Today, I will tell you how to exercise your biceps, which is actually two muscles that are connected at your elbow, and run up and under your shoulder muscle.

The most basic exercise is the barbell or EZ-curl bar standing curls. Stand with either a straight bar or EZ-curl bar with your feet shoulder width apart. You need to take an underhand grip about shoulder width apart also. I suggest looking at yourself in a mirror to make sure that your wrists, elbow and shoulders are always in a straight line. This will help you learn proper form.

A great was to start is with the bar full extended then raise the bar up to your chin by curling your arms up but keep your elbows still. To reach maximum contraction, flex your biceps at the peak of the movement. You must keep your wrist locked all the time otherwise if you let your wrist bend, this can easily hurt you. This is the main exercise for building mass in the biceps. Put this exercise at the beginning of your routine, using heavy weights. Its best to always warm up with a lightweight for one or two sets before going heavy.

Doing standing dumbbell curls alternatively on each arm allows you to lift heavier weights and become stronger. This is a good exercise that will really add to the rounded shape that you want in your biceps.

Only one difference in technique occurs between this method and bar curls. At the motion's pinnacle, rotate your hand in such a way that your pinky finger is positioned higher than your thumb. Try practicing it with no resistance. This is what will give you that extra peak that all the pros have. Its not easy to do, but, it will tighten your abs so much your friends will envy you.

If you really want to isolate the muscles in your arms and give them a real workout, try the Preacher Bench Curls with an EZ-Bar. You will notice you aren"t as strong as you would like to be in this exercise if you are isolating your biceps. If the first two sets of reps have been completed properly, you will feel muscle fatigue.

Position yourself with your chest against the bench and drape your arms over the angled pad. Grab the EZ curl bar with an underhand grip. Curl the weight up and contract your biceps as hard as you can. Lower slowly, being careful not to let the bar stress your elbows at the bottom of the movement. This exercise will place added stress on your lower biceps area.

Burning calories can be hard when you don't have enough time to work up a sweat. Trimming your tummy doesn't have to include hours at the gym or simply subsisting on lemons and maple syrup. Here is a list of what's Hot and what's Not when you need to trim your tummy.

1. Cardio

What's Hot: Interval training is the best way to speed up your metabolism by speeding up your cardio. Instead of a stagnant Stairmaster routine to trim your tummy, try and spice up your cardio by sprinting up some steps and then speed walking around the block. The key to interval training is that it lowers and raises your heart rate during your workout so that your body is always working harder to stabilize.

What's Not: Running an untiring and monotonous hour on the treadmill eventually becomes counter-productive because it is a habit. You can't trim your tummy if your body is still in its comfort zone. Changing your cardio workout just once won't cut it when you are sliming down - you have to always be mixing it up to keep your metabolism up to speed. If you are always introducing new moves and exercises, your body will be working ten times harder and you'll burn the baby fat ten times faster.

2. Eating Healthy

What's Hot: It's important to keep a well balanced diet. Eating in moderation is the key for your diet to lose your tummy. Eating cereal for breakfast is of course a good choice except when it's filled with sugar and having a few fries for lunch seems prudent except when its high in trans fats. Just make sure you read the labels of food products or ask for the ingredients because ignorance isn't bliss when you want to trim your tummy.

What's Not: Extreme low-calorie diets is like taking one step forward and three steps backward when you are trying to trim your tummy. If you go on a fad diet like cabbage soup for a week, then you are depriving yourself of nutrients causing your body's metabolism to slow down within that week. So when you finally return to eating normally your body stores the food you eat because it thinks it's still in starvation mode. Starvating yourself with a fad diet usually ends up in you gaining more weight back more quickly than it took to lose it and messing up your metabolism.

No matter what is the current pulse of the public, just try and remember that old wives tales dies hard. Being able to trim your tummy isn't a new invention like these fad diets or exercise routines - women have been doing it for centuries and they did it without signing up at that expensive gym or buying into that vogue diet.
